The easiest way to speak to one of our doctors is to download the Our Sage app. The app lets you connect with a doctor at a time that’s convenient to you. Simply complete your contact information and confirm your payment details and one of our doctors will call you when they are available.

A standard consultation with a doctor online lasts 10 minutes. If you want to speak to a doctor urgently, you can also request a priority consultation for an additional fee which will put you at the front of the queue.

Yes. All our telehealth doctors are Australian-licenced, practicing GPs and registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Due to Medicare rules around telehealth appointments, we’re not able to bulk bill for online consultations. You will need to pay a fee to talk to one of our doctors and there is no Medicare rebate. Fees are as follows:

• Standard consult - $45
• Priority consult (jump the queue) - $65.

You will need to provide your payment details when you request your appointment, but you won’t be charged until after your consultation. The first time you register as a patient, we will ask for your Medicare card or IHI details. This is so we can verify if you are eligible for Medicare funded benefits like the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) and some pathology and imaging services.

Not at this time. Once you request an appointment you will go into a queue and the next available doctor will call you. Be assured that all our doctors are fully licenced and registered, pre-screened by us, and dedicated to providing quality, remote care.

At Our Sage, we do not book specific consultation times – instead we let you speak to the first available GP. This means when you request an appointment, you will be seen by the next available doctor as soon as they are free. If you want to jump the queue, you can request an express consultation for an additional fee.

Yes. Our doctors can prescribe a number of common medications for everyday conditions and chronic illnesses. They are not able to prescribe controlled, addictive or Schedule 8 or Schedule 4D medications.

Prescriptions are given after a clinical consult and at the doctor’s discretion. After you have spoken to our doctor and they have verified your prescription, you can access your prescription directly from the Our Sage app.

Our telehealth doctors can provide a wide range of healthcare services, including medical advice, referrals to specialists, pathology and radiology tests, repeat prescriptions and medical certificates. Be aware there are some things your doctor can’t do online, including prescribing Schedule 8 or S4D controlled or addictive medications. If an in-person consultation is needed, your online doctor will advise you accordingly and refer you to the nearest Our Medical centre or other appropriate facility in your area.

At this time we are only able to provide consultation over the phone. If you need a visual examination of a health issue, we recommend visiting an Our Medical medical centre or making an in-person appointment with your usual healthcare practitioner.
